Suzanne directs you to this information to protect you from disappointment. Sadly, there are always more buyers than there are small, docile Gold Creek miniature white Galloway cattle for sale (at any point in time).
Potential buyers must be on our Sales Contact List to start any discussion about cattle offered for sale. If you are on that list, we will have your property identification code (PIC), your location, and the contact details you want to use. Further details about the Sales Contact List can be found on the Sales page under the bull photograph.
The Gold Creek Sales Contact List means that Suzanne's sales process is different compared to most breeders. After years of steadily building an online presence, a solid reputation, and breeding an amazing, seriously quiet herd, Gold Creek Stud is in the very enviable position of having more buyers than cattle. We have put the framework of our buying process in place to make buying and selling fair for all parties involved. We have tried to structure the process so that it is fair to us and fair to all the buyers vying for these highly sought-after cattle. Cattle we can only offer in limited numbers.
It is important to note that Suzanne will not send any potential buyer an email with the actual price unless the buyer specifically asks for the price. From the moment the potential buyer is informed of the asking price and directed to the information on this page, they have 48 hours to make a decision and submit the deposit. After 48 hours, the price will be given to someone else (whether the potential buyer has read this information or not).
The holding deposit is 20% of the purchase price.

When Suzanne receives an email or text message from someone with a bank receipt for the deposit, she will withdraw the cattle from sale.
Deposits are Fully Refundable
Buyers have 21 days from the time of paying the deposit to visit and check out cattle they have not already seen. If you have paid a deposit and then visit and discover that the cow/calf/bull you want is not as described or presented in photographs or video footage, Suzanne will refund your deposit in full. Returning a deposit for this reason has never been necessary. Suzanne aims to keep it that way.

Our Sales Contact List is not a waiting list. We do not work our way down from the top. We match cattle to people’s needs.
The Gold Creek Sales Contact List is long. The list is much longer than the list of the names of cattle Gold Creek might want to sell. When Suzanne is ready to offer any cattle for sale, she will have 'spoken' to quite a few people by email. So, she will already have the contact details of several people who are well prepared to look after these cattle. Many of them will be ready, willing, and able to pay a deposit the minute any cattle are offered for sale. Yes, after waiting months, it can happen that quickly. In 2024 the record for a deposit being paid was 2 hours after the email with the price went out. In 2025, it is 10 minutes before the receipt was sent! Yes, only minutes, and even then, it was delayed by poor phone reception!
Adopting to Visit
People considering buying from Gold Creek Galloway Stud sometimes adopt (sponsor) a cow or calf first. This means they can visit the stud through the adoption program and see all the cattle. These visitors can then assess Suzanne both as an individual and as a breeder. So, when the chance to buy comes, they can act fast. The adoption fee paid by any buyer is deducted from the sale price of any cattle purchased. (Adoption is sponsoring, not purchasing.)
Suzanne will answer all your questions and give you plenty of attention during the lead-up to any sale. However, it would be extremely unusual for her to be talking to only one buyer. No, this is not sales hype—it is just the way it is. There are always other buyers ready to jump in, despite Gold Creek not having a waiting list. The list of people and contact details on the Sales Contact List ensures that this is always the case.
After the Sale
Suzanne will hold cattle for a maximum of 28 days from the payment of a deposit. Arrangements can be made at the time of sale to hold the cattle for longer. Full payment must be received within the designated 28-day period, irrespective of the scheduled pickup date. Pickup or delivery must be agreed upon within this 28-day time period. Payment in full must be made before pickup or delivery.
Keeping Sold Cattle at Gold Creek Stud
Upon request, Gold Creek will keep cattle for you for longer than 4 weeks after they are sold. Keeping cattle on our property for extended periods will be based on 'all care taken, but no responsibility accepted' (whether the buyer has read this information or not). We will do everything necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of your cattle until their pickup date. We will fiercely guard them with our lives, but we live in Australia. Unfortunately, floods, bushfires, wombat holes, snakes... are all part of the rural reality. We strongly recommend all clients take out livestock insurance if the valuable breeding cattle and AAT cattle they have purchased from us are to stay at Gold Creek past the 28-day initial period.
A holding deposit will not secure cattle indefinitely. If the buyer chooses to organise transportation themselves, it is their responsibility to ensure the cattle are transported safely from our property to their property and in a timely manner. If buyers cannot organise transport for the pickup date, Suzanne reserves the right to return the deposit or cancel the sale outright.
Bull sales are a little different in relation to price. They do not happen often, so the price may be negotiable (within a certain stated price range). But you still only have 48 hours to decide after receiving the actual price of the bull. If Suzanne does not hear from you or receive a receipt for the deposit, the price will be given to the next interested party. There are no exceptions. Even with bull sales, there are always other interested parties. Gold Creek's bulls are known for their small size and calm temperament, so they are highly sought after but infrequently available for purchase.
