Visiting adopted cows and calves for a little bit of cow cuddling makes for a relaxing outing. As part of your adoption, you are invited to visit your adopted cow or calf on the property and meet their paddock pals (the herd). Or we can organise a special virtual visit. Calf adoption is a great option if you love cattle but do not live on acreage. It costs very little - $360 one-off payment. You can visit more than once, but first time visitors will always be the priority. The adoption can be done online and a percentage of the profits go to a good cause. Sound too good to be true? Go to the video shorts on our YouTube channel and check out the adoption visitors who have already enjoyed coming into our paddocks with these amazing cows.

School holidays and weekends are kept free for adopters to come to the farm to visit the cows and calves. However, adopters can choose to visit during the week if that works better for them.

Visiting Calves on Our Farm

When you adopt a calf you are invited to visit them at our farm. This is a personal invitation to visit your adopted/sponsored calf on our private property. These private visits are organised via email. We will do everything in our power to find a day and a time that works in with your work, travel and time restrictions.  When you get here, we are happy to spend time with you, answer all of your questions and generally make sure you and the cattle enjoy your visit. Visits take place on the farm, in whichever paddock the cattle happen to be in on the day. Visitors will need to wear the most protective shoes they own and old clothes. Suzanne will go into the paddock with you, introduce you to the cattle and answer your questions. We supply the brushes needed for brushing the cattle.

Our gorgeous GOLD CREEK Stud mascots are also available with adoptions (or separate to an adoption). Adoptions support our Animal Assisted Therapy training programs . A percentage of the profits from adoptions support farm animal shelters in Australia.

Virtual Visiting

If you can’t make it to the farm, we can come to you (virtually). There will always be videos and photos published on our Facebook page and our YouTube channel to keep you up to date. When asked, we also email adopters special videos, photos and little written updates. With an increasing number of adopters being interstate and unable to visit, we now offer video calls. We will call you from the paddock and let you interact with your cow or calf via video.

Sometimes We Have to Cancel a Visit...

Unfortunately, potential visitors need to be aware from the outset, that visits sometimes have to be cancelled at very short notice due to the nature of running a cattle stud. Both animals and the weather can be very unpredictable. We have had to cancel several visits because of rain and one because we needed an unforeseen vet visit on the day. We always hope there won't be a next time, but these things happen.

Please include your mobile phone number when you contact us regarding a stud visit. Mobile phone contact enables us to contact you, at short notice, if something unforeseen should crop up.

Adoptions support our AAT training and you get to talk to all our very spoilt cows, calves and bulls.
